Manila-Oslo
3-week vacation

It felt very cold even though I was wearing a wool suit. I had no idea that May in Norway may or may not be spring. That year, it was not. Later, I found out that the temperature was -2C.

The next day, I looked out the window and saw a lot of trees and a few low buildings. I actually thought we were at the outskirts of Oslo when in fact, we were almost at the heart of the city.

I might have complained about how cold it was or how my assessment of Norway was but I have learned to appreciate and (surprisingly) liked all these things. Years have passed, I am still here. My 3-week vacation is extended. I always joke around that this is the longest vacation ever. 4 years and still counting. And like many others before me, I fell in love with the country.
