We left Zambales on December 28 and stayed one night in Manila. We took the boat from Batangas to Romblon the following day. What a ride! Our guests decided to take the non-aircon area and so we all decided to stick together. Bad idea with 3 kids!
The boat does not have security on the sides. A child could easily fall off aboard or an adult for that matter. It was really warm and very uncomfortable. And yes, I saw some baby cockroaches. I hardly had any rest the whole trip.
Boats from Batangas to Romblon – Daily /Manila to Romblon – Once a week (Mondays, I think)
ANYWAY, I FORGOT ALL THE DISCOMFORT I HAD IN THIS 12 HOUR TRIP WHEN WE GOT THERE. ROMBLON, THE MARBLE ISLAND OF THE PHILIPPINES, IS BEAUTIFUL, CLEAN AND FRIENDLY.
thanks for the pics, i’ve never really seen what’s inside a boat that travels through these islands. wow! that was really interesting!
anomymous is me sha
finally i got in…
anway this reminds me of my childhood trips between our contant travel between manila and cebu
there were times the aircon inside were sold out and we had to endure the trip with all these people
but that s life
anyhow glad you survived am sure its an expercience for Angel and Tatyana to see all that
HEI VAMPUS!
Takk for besøk. Jeg er er fornøyd med ny layout. Min venn, Chas fra Bergen har gjort det. 🙂
Gratulerer med ny layout – love the pic of the gamblers, too :-))
Thats the spirit! …forget the dicomfort in the trip and enjoy the beauty of the island. Thanks for sharing, great pics though:-)
it’s okay ate ann! anyways I am happy you like the new look! det ser vårlig ut!
Ethel, kung may baby, may mother di ba? Yaiks!
Charles, thanks for the make over. Very simple and nice. Very much my taste. 🙂 Sorry di pa ako nakapunta sa post office. Everyone in the family got a flu and I am the only one running around here.
Beng, 12 hours with nothing to do but break the rules. 🙂
ahahaha, really amusing..nalagay “gambling strictly phohibited” tapos may nag ga-gamble pa rin. tsk tsk tsk, talaga naman oo.
ate ann.. changed ur layout already. hope you like it but anyways I save the old layout just in case
You saw some baby cockroaches? huh! kilig sa nerves 🙂 buti nalang baby pa, di pa pedeng lumipad nakakatakot naman.
Funny yong pic 🙂 di ba nila nabasa yong nakasulat Al? hehehe
Charles, you would not believe it… There were about 5 groups gambling and nobody even approached them and say STOP.
Sidney, you would not believe how scared I was when I saw the boat. My husband, who is so used to taking these types of boats, is the one who is pacifying me. Considering he is not a filipino!
If you are considering going to Romblon group of islands, I would suggest that you take the flight from Manila to Tablas. There is a boat trip from Tablas to Romblon, Romblon (this is not a very long trip)
Neng, di ko naitanung dun sa mga naglalaro. Di ko naisip kagad yung tong. Hehe
sino kaya iyong “master” na naglagay niyan? may percentage siguro…hehehe
I am always a bit frightened when I need to take a boat. Especially for such long trips.
Great pictures. You captured it very well. I love the gamblers and the non-gambling sign…
We Filipinos have a knack to disobey rules hehehehehehe.
