Revebukta Camping

Just a stone throw away from our summer house is a camping area, Revebukta. Unlike some other camping places, it has very limited facilities but it is a very safe and friendly place. the price for an overnight stay is around kr. 150 (21 Euro)
We normally take a walk in the area when we can.

Lysgårdsbakken Ski Jumping Arene

The first time I went here (4 years ago) at Lysgårdsbakken, my husband John told me that he didn’t like to take the  lift because he has done it before. I looked down and saw that I can handle it since it is just 5 meters down. Little did I know that it was a long way down from the lift! I have a problem with heights (and so has my husband). He tricked me into taking the lift!!! This time, I did not take it.

Maihaugen – Lillehammer

This is my second visit tot Lillehammer and I wish we had more time to go around. Lillehammer is the home of the 1994 Winter Olympics.

The body of water you see above is Mjøsa. As I have mentioned earlier. Mjøsa is the largest lake in Norway. It stretches from Eidsvoll to Lillehammer.

Maihaugen is an open air museum. It reminded me so much of the Norsk Folkemuseum. Maihaugen is the largest open air museum in Europe.
